On Tuesday, 20 May 2014, in the evening at 17:45, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 13.07), a Citroen C2 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Citroen (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.37‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
