On Thursday, 3 July 2014, in the afternoon at 14:23, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 42.78), a head-on collision occurred. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
