On Thursday, 31 July 2014, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Savanorių pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a car and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
