On Wednesday, 13 November 2019, in the evening at 22:20, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Savanorių pr., a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus, a Mitsubishi Colt and a Seat Ibiza. Two people were injured — a 30-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient) and the 20-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Ford (6 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
