On Monday, 4 August 2014, at night at 4:58, in Jonavos district municipality, Ruklos village, on the Jonava–Žasliai–Kalniniai Mijaugonys national road (kilometre 6.04), a Mazda MX-3 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.27‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 20-year-old passenger of the Mazda was drunk (2.19‰). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
