On Sunday, 17 August 2014, in the afternoon at 14:09, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 4.95), a Renault Magnum 440.19T registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Renault (a citizen of Poland) (45 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
