On Thursday, 11 September 2014, at night at 1:29, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 130.30), a Scania registered in Poland hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Scania (a citizen of Poland) (12 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was fog, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
