On Thursday, 9 October 2014, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Nuokalnės street, at the junction with Varnių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Land Rover Freelander and a Mitsubishi Colt. One person was injured — a 4-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Land Rover (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
