On Sunday, 12 October 2014, in the evening at 19:22, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 127.17), a BMW 318 I registered in Great Britain ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
