On Monday, 13 October 2014, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Europos pr. near No. 83, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH registered in Latvia, a Schmitz SKO 24 registered in Latvia and a DAF SB 250. One person was injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the DAF (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Latvia) (36 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
