On Tuesday, 2 December 2014, in the morning at 9:40, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street near No. 150, a Renault Megane Scenic hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 56-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 32-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Renault (17 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
