On Saturday, 13 December 2014, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kaunas, on S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno street, at the junction with V. Čepinskio street, a BMW 320 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
