On Friday, 9 January 2015, in the morning at 5:10, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 28.50), a Smart registered in Germany rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Smart (a citizen of Germany) (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
