On Wednesday, 2 March 2016, in the evening at 19:30, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 27), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A8 and an Audi 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Audi A8 (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.33‰ blood alcohol).
