On Friday, 9 January 2015, in the evening at 20:25, in Birštono municipality, Škėvonių village, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 93.58), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Volvo XC90. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Opel (3 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and entered the oncoming traffic lane.
