On Tuesday, 27 January 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 85.20), a BMW 5er Gran Turismo Reihe hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the BMW (12 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
