On Thursday, 5 February 2015, in the evening at 19:35, in Kaunas, on Studentų street, at the junction with A. Baranausko street, a Suzuki Grand Vitara hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 63-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Suzuki (24 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
