On Saturday, 7 March 2015, at night at 23:24, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 89), a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
