On Saturday, 9 May 2015, in the morning at 7:45, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 74.54), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.45‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
