On Sunday, 17 May 2015, in the evening at 18:30, in Kauno district municipality, Stanaičių village, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 19.15), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Seat Cordoba and a other motor vehicle. One person was injured — a 36-year-old passenger of the Seat (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Seat (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.48‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
