On Wednesday, 20 May 2015, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street, at the junction with Taikos pr., a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Transporter and a BMW 530. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (18 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
