On Thursday, 4 June 2015, in the morning at around 10:00, in Kaunas, on Maironio street, at the junction with K. Donelaičio street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vivaro and an Audi 100 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Opel (35 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
