On Sunday, 14 June 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on Jotvingių street, at the junction with Kuršių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and an Audi A4. Two people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Audi A4 (treated as an outpatient) and a 31-year-old passenger of the Audi A6 (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi A6 (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
