On Saturday, 11 July 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 120.45), an Opel Astra-G-Caravan rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Opel (9 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
