On Thursday, 16 July 2015, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Šiauliai, on Vilniaus street near No. 8, in a yard, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Opel Vectra, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.14‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
