On Thursday, 23 July 2015, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on S. Žukausko street near No. 19, a MG ZT-T hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 40-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the MG (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
