On Monday, 17 August 2015, in the afternoon at 12:53, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Gerosios Vilties street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.38‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 17-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
