On Thursday, 27 August 2015, in the morning at 9:20, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 134.60), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi A6 Avant, who violated overtaking rules. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
