On Saturday, 12 September 2015, in the evening at 17:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 11.26), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Transporter and a Mercedes-Benz E280. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.95‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
