On Saturday, 12 September 2015, in the evening at 20:38, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street, at the junction with Europos pr., a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 Avant and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Audi 100 Avant, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.31‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
