On Tuesday, 15 September 2015, in the morning at 8:10, in Kaunas, on Varnių street near No. 40, a Dieci Adri Star 37.8 TA hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 13-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Dieci (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
