On Tuesday, 29 September 2015, in the evening at 21:55, in Plungės district municipality, on V. Mačernio street near No. ties 21, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra, an Opel Sintra, a Skoda Octavia and a Skoda Octavia. Two people were injured — a 25-year-old passenger of the Opel Vectra (treated as an outpatient) and the 24-year-old driver of the Skoda Octavia (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Opel Vectra, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.67‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
