On Saturday, 31 October 2015, in the evening at 22:40, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 64.42), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-3 and a BMW 320. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Saab (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
