On Sunday, 10 July 2022, at night at 0:35, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 64.44), an Opel Zafira ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
