On Wednesday, 18 November 2015, at night at 0:52, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 62.22), in a roadworks zone, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania registered in Kazakhstan, a Mazda 323 and a Schmitz SPR 24. One person was injured — a 18-year-old passenger of the Mazda (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Scania (9 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
