On Monday, 27 November 2017, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 13, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 17-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
