On Saturday, 21 November 2015, in the evening at 22:10, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Utena main road (kilometre 64.29), a Ford Mondeo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Ford (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.47‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
