On Friday, 11 December 2015, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on J. Žemgulio street near No. 9, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a Volkswagen Touran. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.17‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
