On Saturday, 6 February 2016, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with P. Lukšio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Ford (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
