On Wednesday, 9 March 2016, in the evening at 21:22, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr., at the junction with S. Žukausko street, a Chrysler Grand Voyager hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Chrysler (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
