On Sunday, 10 April 2016, at night at 3:25, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., at the junction with Kaunakiemio street, a BMW 330 XD hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the BMW (32 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
