On Monday, 25 April 2016, in the afternoon at 13:26, in Vilnius, on Algirdo street, at the junction with Panerių street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Galaxy, a Peugeot 406, an Audi A6 Avant, a Volkswagen Passat and an Audi 100 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Ford (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.42‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
