On Friday, 10 March 2017, in the morning at 8:33, in Vilnius, on Panerių street, at the junction with Algirdo street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. Seven people were injured — a 68-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (hospitalized), a 65-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient), a 23-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient), a 24-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient), a 63-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (hospitalized), the 54-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient) and a 22-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Scania (8 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
