On Saturday, 16 July 2016, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Pramonės pr., at the junction with K. Baršausko street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda Premacy and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Mazda (33 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
