On Saturday, 30 July 2016, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kauno district municipality, Žemaitkiemio village, on Pirklių street near No. 1, a BMW 520D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (0.81‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
