On Monday, 1 August 2016, in the afternoon at 16:27, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 61.30), a BMW 528i hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the BMW (26 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene.
