On Tuesday, 16 August 2016, in the afternoon at 15:10, in Šilalės district municipality, Palokystalio village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 247.70), a Toyota Auris hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Toyota (17 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. The driver was sober.
