On Friday, 7 October 2016, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Elektrėnų street near No. 7, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Renault Scenic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.87‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
