On Sunday, 16 October 2016, in the morning at 9:54, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 8.40), a BMW 320 rolled over. Two people were injured — the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 55-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed and was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
