On Friday, 28 October 2016, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Kaunas, on Europos pr. near No. 97, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
